What taplog is

taplog is a single-purpose mileage tracking tool for Uber and other business driving. It helps you log trips and estimate a tax deduction based on the distance you drive.

Not tax advice

The deduction amount taplog shows you is calculated for convenience using the CRA's published per-kilometre automobile allowance rate. It is not tax advice, and taplog does not verify your eligibility to claim it. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your own tax filings, including whether and how you report any deduction calculated by this app.

No warranty on GPS accuracy

Trip distance is calculated from your device's GPS signal. GPS-based distance is an estimate, not a certified measurement, and can be affected by signal quality, device hardware, and environment (tunnels, dense urban areas, etc.). taplog makes no warranty as to the accuracy of any distance, duration, or deduction figure it produces.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create a taplog account. This app calculates figures relevant to personal tax filings, and we require account holders to be of an age where that responsibility is legally theirs.
